TICKETS

We’ll send you an email confirmation when you book online, and you can collect your pre-booked tickets at the box office from 6pm on the day of the show. If you’ve chosen the Print At Home option, your tickets will be in your inbox and you will not need to pick up your tickets at the box office. If you’ve chosen the Collect at Box Office option, we will need your full name or order number or email and then you’ll be given your tickets.

Concessions are available for people over 65, those aged 26 and under, students and unwaged (which includes those on parental leave). If you have purchased a ticket at the concessionary rate, you may be asked for proof of entitlement.

All our ticket price types and discounts are subject to availability and can be changed or withdrawn at any point. The Yard can introduce offers and price changes at any time. Any price types or discounts bought after you have purchased your ticket will not apply. Any promotional codes or offers can be used online only and cannot be redeemed at the box office.

Tickets are sold subject to the Data Protection Act 2018.

NO EMPTY SEATS

£5 unsold tickets are available to people aged 27 and under on the night of a performance. All you need to do is arrive 45 minutes before the show is due to start with proof of your age, at which point you can purchase a ticket for £5, as long as there are unsold tickets available.

Exchanges and Refunds

Tickets are non-refundable unless the performance is cancelled or rescheduled. In this event, all bookers will be contacted by The Yard and given the choice to swap their tickets or receive a full refund.

All tickets cannot be refunded unless a performance is cancelled or rescheduled. In the event of a cancelled or a show-stop (when a performance is stopped partway through), bookers will be offered to exchange their tickets for another performance; a refund will be issued if there are no available tickets or if the booker is not able to attend another performance.

We may be able to exchange your ticket for an alternative performance of the same event, provided we are given at least five hours notice before the performance is due to start. This is strictly subject to availability and there is a £2.50 transaction fee for exchanges, as well as paying any difference in price between the purchased ticket and the desired ticket.

Pre-ordered food and drink are non-refundable unless the performance is cancelled or rescheduled. In this event all bookers will be contacted by The Yard and given the choice to swap their tickets and food orders to another performance of the same show or receive a full refund.

Booking Fees

All ticket purchases made for events at The Yard Theatre are subject to a non-refundable booking fee. This fee is applied to cover administrative costs associated with processing and managing ticket reservations.

The booking fee amount is £1.50 for online transactions, and £3 for transactions taken via our box office and is clearly stated at the time of booking. Customers are advised to review the booking details for the specific event for accurate fee information.

The booking fee is payable in addition to the ticket price and must be settled at the time of the booking transaction. Failure to complete payment for the booking fee may result in the cancellation of the reservation.

Booking fees are non-transferable and cannot be applied to future reservations, exchanges, or other transactions.

The booking fee is non-refundable. However, in the rare case of an event cancellation, The Yard Theatre will initiate a full refund of the ticket price, including the booking fee, to the original payment method used for the transaction.

The Yard Theatre reserves the right to modify these booking fee terms and conditions at its discretion. Any changes will be communicated through the official website and other appropriate channels.

Age Guidance

Events may be age-restricted so you do need to check before purchasing if the event will be suitable. This information will be published on our website as soon as it’s available, and for more information, you can email marketing@theyardtheatre.co.uk.

Further Information

We try our best to let latecomers come in at an agreed latecomers point, but this is at the discretion of the artist and dependent on the production. If there is no appropriate moment or admittance will cause disruption, latecomers may be refused admission. This is also because of the intimate nature of our auditorium and late entry means you’ll be crossing in front of the stage. No refund or exchange will be offered in this instance.

If you leave the auditorium once the performance has started, you will have to wait until an appropriate moment in the performance to be readmitted. If there is no appropriate moment in the performance, re-admittance will not be allowed. No refunds or exchanges will be given.

The Yard reserves the right not to let ticket holders in or take necessary action to ensure that ticket holders leave the venue if we feel that health and safety, licensing or other patrons’ comfort or security may be affected.

If you leave the auditorium mid-performance, we can’t guarantee you’ll be allowed back in.

Drinks are welcome in the auditorium but food is not permitted, and only food from the premises can be consumed within the bar. Read more about our food and drink offerings here.

Filming and photography whilst inside the auditorium is prohibited.
