This is the start of something special.

After a year of capital works, The Yard Theatre has reopened. We have a new building. Now, we need your support to fill it. We are fundraising £250,000 to pack The Yard's new stage with original writing, experimental classics, and new works from artists from debuts to living legends.

The occasion is Lear. The evening will centre on a performance of Lear: Shakespeare's King Lear, reimagined by Simon Stephens and Jay Miller, starring Ian McKellen. A night of champagne and celebration. See more information about the evening below.

Tickets support our fundraising campaign, but you can also support The Yard with a gift or a pledge. Find out more by emailing samantha@theyardtheatre.co.uk.

Join us for this special night.

We start at 6pm with drinks, canapés, then dinner. 8pm: the show. After the show, the lights drop and dessert and speeches roll out. We hear from Ian, the team that made the show and the team that made The Yard. After, music until late.
