About The Yard Bar & Kitchen

Whether you’re watching a show, enjoying some of the best new music or relaxing with friends, The Yard Bar & Kitchen is a vibrant and welcoming space with a warm atmosphere, inspiring architecture and great music.

The Yard Bar serves a wide range of alcoholic beverages, from locally sourced Craft Brews from The East London Brewing Company and London Fields Brewery, wines and ciders to an eco-friendly range of spirits. We have an inspiring selection of soft drinks sourced from the local area and a range of hot drinks available.

Just like the work in our theatre, The Yard Kitchen menu is ever-changing. We invite different chefs to cook in our kitchen for several weeks at a time. Scroll down to see what’s cooking right now.

From 10pm – 3am on selected nights, our Yard Locals events offer free live music, programmed by some of London’s finest collectives. If you’re in the mood to party, join us for one of our popular Yard Nights, where both upcoming and established DJs showcase a diverse mix of electronic music that has seen us earn a reputation for throwing some of the best parties in East London.

What’s cooking this month?

Roasticini will be cooking up their delicious traditional Italian food at The Yard.

The Arrosticini is a typical dish from Abruzzo, a small region between the mountain Appennino and the Adriatic sea. Called also ‘Rustelle or arrustelle’, they are handmade tender meat skewers, assembled with delicious chunks of sheep’s meat (mutton). In each chunk you can find the real taste of the Abruzzese mountains right above Pescara, the most important city of the region. Arrosticini are often served with slices of traditionally home made bread (bruschetta) soaked in a tasty extra virgin olive oil, a few spices, and the very hot peperoncino.

How do you eat them? The tradition is very clear about that: the only way to do it is with your hands, so grab a skewer!
